Everyone who has managed a business is aware of the difficulties of looking after the payroll. It is one of the manager's most important tasks as your staff are your most valuable asset, and getting their pay wrong is a very quick way of upsetting them.

You must submit information about each payment you make to staff under HMRC's  'Real Time Information' (RTI) system, and you must complete various forms and file them with H.M. Revenue and Customs by strict deadlines as fines and penalties are imposed if they are late.

We operate a payroll bureau which is available to all of our clients. We can calculate your payroll for you, delivering the results by post, fax or email. We will maintain your payroll records and ensure that your business complies with the relevant laws, leaving you to pay your staff in accordance with our calculations. We will deal with the Inland Revenue on your behalf, ensuring that all forms are accurately completed and submitted by the due date, and all Real Time Information electronic filings asre submitted in good time.

In comparison with many payroll bureaus you will find ours is more informal and user friendly.  There are no complicated forms to fill in.  If you want to change salary rates, pay a bonus, take on new employees or one leaves, etc, just send us a fax or email telling us of the change.  That's it.  We will make the changes and produce any forms that the taxman deems necessary.  

Each time we run your payroll we send you a payslip for each employee and a one page payroll summary (unless you have too many staff to fit on one page).  We do not send you pages of meaningless reports to clogg up your filing system as many bureaus do.  Our one page payroll summary tells you everything.

Making Tax Digital - 5 May update from HMRC has changed the rules. Supplier statements can be recorded instead of every single invoice - subject to certain conditions. Common sense has prevailed. Such a pity it took HMRC until 5 weeks after MTD started to see sense.
